1808 Proceedings: A dispensation having been issued, dated August 19th, 1808, and signed by the Deputy Grand Master, for the opening of a Lodge at King & Queen courthouse, by the name of the Sycamore Lodge, appointing Amos Newhall, Master; Simon Guthrow, Senior 'Warden; and John C. Roy, Junior Warden; and the said dispensation being returned with a copy of the proceedings had thereunder and a petition for a charter,
Resolved, That a charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name of the Sycamore Lodge, No. 84,
appointing the same persons officers thereof, who are named in the said dispensation.
1823 Proceedings: Whereas Sycamore Lodge, No. 84, has lately been suspended consequence of failing to send Representatives to the three last Grand Annual Communications of this Grand Lodge, and neglecting to the proper contributions to the Grand Charity Fund, and whereas a number of respectable Brethren, have petitioned to be reinstated to work under the Charter of the said Lodge, therefore Resolved, That the said Lodge be re-instated upon the petitioners paying to the Grand Treasurer the sum of $40 in discharge of all arrearages, which may be now due the Grand Lodge; and that Brothers Amos Newhall, be appointed Master, Jacob D. Wacker, Senior Warden, and A. R. Harwood, Junior Warden, to carry the same into effect.
