Confirmed chartered 10/29/1789. Confirmed revived 12/10/1822. By order of the Grand Lodge, this day a Charter was issued to Brothers William Herring, as Master; Benjamin Smith, as Senior Warden; and William Cravens, as Junior Warden, of a new Lodge to be constituted and holden in the town of Harrisburg, in Rockingham county, under the designation of the Rockingham Union Lodge, No. 27. 1822 Proceedings: Whereas,, a memorial and petition has been presented from sundry brethren, who are desirous of reviving the Rockingham Union Lodge, No. 27, which has been dormant for some years, on motion, Resolved, That on the payment of the Sum of forty dollars, which shall be received in full discharge of all arrears, the said Lodge shall be re-instated, and that Asher Waterman be appointed Master; Henry Welch, Senior Warden; and Alexander McCartney, Junior Warden, for the purpose of reviving the labours of said Lodge, No. 27.
