1838 Proceedings: On the petition of sundry Brethren, residing in and near New Hope in the county of Augusta, for the opening of a new Lodge in place, by the name of New Hope, No. --, recommending Joseph Bradford to be first Master, Wm. R. Stewart, first Senior Warden and Geo. W. McCullock, first Junior Warden:
Resolved, That the M. W. Grand Master be, and he is hereby authorised and requested to issue a Dispensation for the opening a Lo at the said place, agreeably to the prayers of the petitioners, their compliance with the regulations of the Grand Lodge in relation to the payment of fees for such Dispensation.
1839 Proceedings: Whereas, the M. W. Grand Master issued a dispensation to open and hold a Lodge in the town of New Hope, county of Augusta, appointing Joseph B. Bradford, Master; William R. Stewart, S. Warden, and George W. McCullock, J. Warden; and said dispensation being returned, and their work being duly vouched for by Wan Worthington Smith, D. D. G. Master of D. No. 11.
Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name, title and designation of New Ho Lodge, No. 103, appointing Joseph B. Bradford, Master; George McCullock, S. Warden, and J. C. Webb, J. Warden.
