1810 Proceedings: A petition having been presented, signed by several brethren, residing in and near Martinsburg, in Berkeley county, praying for a charter, for the establishment of a Lodge in Martinsburg, aforesaid, and the said petition being accompanied by a recommendation from Lodge No. 21; on motion,
Resolved, That a charter do issue for the establishment of a Lodge as aforesaid, in the town aforesaid, by the name of Mount
Horeb Lodge, No. 89, appointing Joel Ward, Master; Sam’l Boyd, Senior Warden; and John S. Harrison, Junior Warden.
