Confirmed chartered on 01/16/1839. Editor: Presuming District 6 based on location, but not in the Grand Lodge records.
Whereas a dispensation was issued by the M. W. Grand Master to open and hold a Lodge in Charlestown, Jefferson county, appoint John J. Straith, Master; Hugh L. Gallaher, S. Warden, and Wo North, J. Warden, and whereas, from some cause, the said paper documents have not come to hand, but such a representation being to the Grand Committee by Wor. Brother Washington G. Singleton was perfectly satisfactory.
Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name, title and designation of Lovingston Lodge, No. 66, appointing John J. Straith, Master; Hugh L. Gallaher, 5. Warden, and Wm. D. North, J. Warden.
