1801 Proceedings: A dispensation having been issued by the Most Worshipful William Austin, dated August 21st, A. L. 5801, appointing Samuel Butler, Master; Langley C. Wills, Senior Warden; and Edwin D. Hart, Junior Warden; with authority to open a Lodge at Surry Courthouse, by the name of the Jefferson Lodge, and the said dispensation, and the other necessary documents, being received,
Resolved, That a charter do issue for the permanent establishment of a Lodge at Surry Courthouse, by the name of the Jefferson Lodge, No. 65, appointing the said brethren officers thereof that were named in the said dispensation.

1833, 1834, 1835, 1836, 1838, 1839 Proceedings: Jefferson Lodge, No. 65, Surry Court House-Representation but no return at the last Grand Annual Communication.
1840 Proceedings: Listed as dormant.
1841 Proceedings: Whereas a Dispensation was issued, to authorise the revival of Jefferson Lodge, No. 65, at Surry Court House, appointing John B. Butler, Master, John A. Hunnicutt, S.
