Confirmed chartered 12/13/1825 in District 3. A Dispensation having been issued signed by the Grand Master, to authorize the opening of a Lodge at Farnham Church, in the County of Richmond, by the name of "Farnham Humanity Lodge," appointing Samuel Williams as Master, Aldia A. Glasscock as Senior Warden, and Richard B. Hutt as Junior Warden; and the said Dispensation being returned, with the other necessary documents, On motion, Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge at Farnham Church, in the County of Richmond, by the name of "Farnham Humanity Lodge, No. 140," and that Cyrus Simmonds be appointed Master, William Webb, Senior Warden, and Samuel C. Tapscott, Junior Warden. Resolved, For reasons appearing to the Grand Lodge, that the jewels and floor cloth of Lancaster Union Lodge, No. 88, which are now in the possession of the Grand Lodge, be and the same are hereby loaned to Farnham Humanity Lodge, No. 140, but to be subject the future call of the Grand Lodge. Resolved, That Orange Lodge No. 138, be assigned to District No. 12; Clinton Lodge No. 139, to District No. 14; Farnham Humanity Lodge No. 140, to District No. 3; De Wit Clinton Lodge No. 141, to District No. 9; Cassia Lodge No. 142, to District No. 12; Comfort Lodge No. 143, to District No. 1; Northampton Lodge No. 11, now attached to District No. 2, to District No. 1; New Glasgow Union Lodge No. 87, now attached to District No. 20, to District No. 10. 1830 Proceedings: Listed as dormant.
