1826 Proceedings: A Petition was presented signed by a number of Master Masons, praying for a Charter for the permanent establishment of a Lodge at the house of Col. Robert Moseley, in the County of Cumberland, by the name of Doric Lodge, No. --, accompanied with a recommendation from the District Deputy Grand Master of District, No. 9, and also from Amelia Washington Lodge, No. 131. On the application of the petitioners, Resolved, That they have leave to withdraw their petition. Confirmed Chartered on 12/11/1827 in District 17. 1827 Proceedings: A Dispensation having been issued, signed by the Grand Master to authorize the opening of a Lodge, at the tavern of Colonel Robert Moseley, in the county of Cumberland, by the name of Doric Lodge appointing Edward L. Scruggs, as Master, Joseph Fuqua, as Senior Warden, and George H. Mathews, as Junior Warden, and the said Dispensation being returned; with the other necessary documents, On motion, Resolved, That a Charter do issue, for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, at Cumberland Court House, in the county of Cumberland, by the name of Doric Lodge, No. 146, appointing the same persons officers as were named in the Dispensation. On motion, Resolved, That Salina Lodge, No. 145, be assigned to District No. 17; Doric Lodge, No. 146, and Ahibeth Lodge, No. 147 to District No. 9; Prince George Lodge, No. 148, to District No. 5 St. John's Lodge, No. 144, now attached to District No. 9, to District No. 8; Rockfish Harmony Lodge, No. 92, now attached to District No. 10, to District No. 11. 1829 Proceedings: Whereas, it has been represented to this Grand Lodge, that Dorie Lodge No. 146, in removing their Lodge, accidentally lost their Charter, therefore, Resolved, That the Grand Secretary be required to issue a new Charter to said Lodge No. 146, on payment of his fee for writing the same. 1838 Proceedings: Listed as dormant.
