- Confirmed chartered on 12/13/1854. Whereas, A Dispensation was issued by the Most Wor. Grand Master, to authorise the opening a Lodge at New Castle, Craig county, by the name of Door to Virtue Lodge, No. ---, appointing Wor. Clifton G. Hill, Master; James M. Rice, Senior Warden, and Andrew J. Elmore, Junior Warden; and said Dispensation being returned with the necessary documents. Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, by the name, title and designation, of Door to Virtue Lodge, No. 109, and appointing the officers named.
