Confirmed chartered 12/13/1825 as "De Wit Clinton Lodge" in District 9.
A Dispensation having been issued signed by the Grand Master to authorize the opening of a Lodge in Cartersville, in the County of Cumberland, by the name of "Clinton Lodge", appointing Carter H. Bradley as Master, Thomas W. Vaughan as Senior Warden, and Abner Nash as Junior Warden; and the said Dispensation being returned, with the other necessary documents,
On motion, Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge in Cartersville, in the County of Cumberland, by the name of "De Wit Clinton Lodge, No. 141", and the Carter H. Bradley be appointed Master, Abner Nash, Senior Warden, and Robert Irving, Junior Warden.
Resolved, That Orange Lodge No. 138, be assigned to District No. 12; Clinton Lodge No. 139, to District No. 14; Farnham Humanity Lodge No. 140, to District No. 3; De Wit Clinton Lodge No. 141, to District No. 9; Cassia Lodge No. 142, to District No. 12; Comfort Lodge No. 143, to District No. 1; Northampton Lodge No. 11, now attached to District No. 2, to District No. 1; New Glasgow Union Lodge No. 87, now attached to District No. 20, to District No. 10.
Resolved, That the Jewels belonging to Cartersville Lodge, No. 70, (now dormant) be loaned to De Wit Clinton Lodge, No. 141, the same to be returned whenever demanded by the Grand Lodge of Virginia.
1838 Proceedings: Listed as dormant.
1846 Proceedings: Whereas, a Dispensation was issued by the M. W. Grand Master to authorise the opening a Lodge at Cartersville, Cumberland county, by the name of De Witt Clinton Lodge No. 141, and appointing P. J. Leake, Master, John P. King, Senior Warden, and Anselm M. Cantrill, Junior Warden.
Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent revival of De Witt Clinton Lodge No. 141, and appointing the same officers as named in the Dispensation, upon the payment of twenty dollars in full of all arrearages including the Grand Secretary's fee.
