Confirmed chartered 12/10/1799 in District 12. Assigned to District 12 in 1820. Moved in 1824 to District 6. 1799 Proceedings: Whereas, a dispensation was issued on the 22d day of May last, by the Right Worshipful Deputy Grand Master, for the temporary establishment of a Lodge in the county of Louisa, by the name of the Day Lodge, appointing Robert Yancey, Master; Turner Anderson, Senior Warden; and Samuel Overton, Jun’r, Junior Warden, and the said dispensation being returned, accompanied with the necessary documents, and a petition for a charter, Resolved, That a charter do issue, to establish a Lodge in the county of Louisa, by the name and designation of the Day Lodge, No. 58, appointing the same persons officers thereof, that are named in the said dispensation. 1816 Proceedings: A petition was received, signed by several members of the Day Lodge, No. 58, which has for some time past been dormant, praying for leave to revive the said Lodge; and, on motion, Resolved, That the prayer of the petition be granted, and that John W. Barrett, be appointed Master; Robert Barrett, Senior Warden; and Ralph S. Sandidge, Junior Warden, in order to recommence the labours of said Lodge. Editor: No notice of when they were considered dormant. 1824 Proceedings: Resolved, That Temple of Virtue Lodge No. 155, be assigned to District No. 5; Equality Lodge No. 136, to District No. 14; Lafayette Lodge No. 137, to District No. 12; and that Louisa Lodge (sic) No. 58, now attached to District No. 12, be assigned to District No. 6; and Montgomery Harmony Lodge. No. 130, now attached to District No. 13, be assigned to District No. 15. 1826 Proceedings: Listed as dormant. 1841 Proceedings: Whereas a Dispensation was issued, to authorise the revival of Day Lodge, No. 58, appointing Charles Thompson, Master; John Slater, S. Warden, and Thomas M. Howard, J. Warden, and said Dispensation being returned, together with the necessary documents and papers: Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the revival of said Day Lodge, No. 58, and permanent establishment of the same, appointing Thomas M. Howard, Master, John Slater, S. Warden, and John Poindexter, J. Warden, upon the payment of twenty dollars in full of all arrearages, including the Grand Secretary's fee.
