Confirmed chartered 12/13/1825 to District 14.
A Dispensation having been issued signed by the Grand Master, to authorize the opening of a Lodge in Romney, in the County of Hampshire, by the name of "Clinton Lodge," appointing John Kern, Jr. as Master, Warner Trockmorton as Senior Warden, and Thomas Ragland as Junior Warden; and the said Dispensation being returned, with the other necessary documents,
On motion, Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, in Romney, in the County of Hampshire, by the name of "Clinton Lodge, No. 139," appointing the same persons Officers, as were named in the Dispensation.
Resolved, That Orange Lodge No. 138, be assigned to District No. 12; Clinton Lodge No. 139, to District No. 14; Farnham Humanity Lodge No. 140, to District No. 3; De Wit Clinton Lodge No. 141, to District No. 9; Cassia Lodge No. 142, to District No. 12; Comfort Lodge No. 143, to District No. 1; Northampton Lodge No. 11, now attached to District No. 2, to District No. 1; New Glasgow Union Lodge No. 87, now attached to District No. 20, to District No. 10.
1838 Proceedings: Listed as dormant.
1846 Proceedings: A Petition was received from sundry brethren residing at and near Romney, Hampshire county, praying for the revival of Clinton Lodge No. 139, and naming John Kern, Master, John B. White, Senior Warden, and Richard W. Varden, Junior Warden.
Whereupon, Resolved, That the said prayer be granted, and that said Clinton Lodge No. 139, be revived, appointing the officers named in the Petition, upon the payment of ten dollars in full of dues exclusive of the Grand Secretary's fee.
