Confirmed chartered 12/10/1823. 1823 Proceedings: A dispensation having been issued by the Grand Master, to authorize the opening of a Lodge at Jeter's Tavern, in the county of Amelia, by the name of Amelia Washington Lodge, appointing John Booker, Master, Austin Seay, Senior Warden, and Bernard Seay, Junior Warden, and the said dispensation being returned with the other necessary documents, On motion, Resolved, That a Charter do issue for the permanent establishment of said Lodge, at Jeter's Tavern, in the county of Amelia, by the name of Amelia Washington Lodge, No. 131, appointing the same persons as were named in the dispensation. Resolved, That Monroe Lodge, No. 129, be assigned to District 12; Montgomery Harmony Lodge, No. 130, to District No. 13; Amelia Washington Lodge, No. 131, to District No. 9; Mount Carmel Lodge, No. 133, to District No. 13; and Eureka Lodge, No 134, to District No. 10. 1829 Proceedings: Whereas, the house in which Amelia Washington Lodge No. 131 held its meetings, was, on the 25th December last, together with The Charter, Furniture and Jewels of said Lodge, consumed by fire, by which means, the operations of said Lodge have been suspended up to the present time, therefore, Resolved, That the Grand Secretary renew the Charter of said Amelia Washington Lodge, without any other expense to said Lodge, than that of his fee for writing the same. Resolved, That Amelia Washington Lodge be excused from the payment of the annual contribution to the Grand Lodge, for the present year. 1838 Proceedings: Listed as dormant.
